Today a Nissan leaf owned by our friend Robert Sharpe of EV Consultancy, EverGreen Consulting, came by for a visit, test drive and a quick charge. We do like the Leaf – it offers superb engineering with solid build quality and reliability. Robert is driving close to 20,000 miles per year on electricity in the Leaf and loving it. Sun shines in March to produce over 375 kWh. After dismal Jan and Feb, March appears as a stand out month. January 2025 was dark, cold and no sun. Feb was only slightly better and managed to provide us with 5 days with any meaningful sun. March changed all that with sun shine every day
The Government is about to ramp Car Tax or VED charges for petrol and diesel models starting April 2025 on a vehicle’s first year.
