The Jaguar I-Pace receives a modest upgrade on the charging front and some new kit.
Jaguar has updated the I-Pace, which now features 11 kW AC 3-Phase charging capabilities and a new infotainment system.
Boosted from the previous 7 kW AC on-board charger, the latest upgrades to the I-Pace include the ability to charge at up to 11 kW from a three-phase supply.
With increasing numbers of 11 kW and 22 kW fast charge points in public – and in particular at workplaces – it means drivers can add 33 miles of range per hour. Ultra-rapid charging at up to 100 kW DC remains.
The new infotainment system is the other key improvement, with greater focus on usability. The I-Pace is the first Jaguar to feature the Pivi Pro system, which is supposed to be as intuitive to use as a smartphone.
Enhanced EV navigation is fitted showing greater information for charge points. It also uses self-learning algorithms for improved routing, and voice guidance that will remain quiet when travelling through areas it considers the driver to be familiar with.
The system features a built in 4G SIM for music streaming, weather and traffic updates, and over-the-air software upgrades. A new filtration system improves interior air quality, and can be set up to clean the cabin’s air as part of the pre-conditioning process.
Other additions to equipment include the addition of ClearSight digital rear view mirror for improved rear visibility when required. Wireless phone charging is now also available, and Apple CarPlay & Android Auto are now included as standard.
Driving range remains at 292 miles on a charge, and the upgraded I-Pace S is available to order now from £65,195. The SE and HSE start at £69,795 and £74,395.
